Not everything needs to be a story worth writing about. This is the control group: 64/100 at chapter two, 72/100 at chapter fifty-five, a rise of eight points that is visible but never dramatic, and a graph that looks exactly the way you’d expect a well-made genre series to look.
I keep it on the site precisely because it’s the least interesting trajectory here. If every series moved thirty points in one direction or the other, the numbers would be describing my attention rather than the work.
Why the number moved
Slowly, and on every axis at once. No single score moved more than three points across the whole run, which is what competent work looks like when you measure it — improvements that are real but small enough that a single review would flatten them into “fine”.
Art is the strongest axis at 15, and has been since early on. Pacing is the weakest at 13 and also the most improved in relative terms, which tracks: the early arcs are more interested in establishing than in moving.
What it does well
Consistency. It has hit every checkpoint with no weak axis and no collapse, and it has never once asked me to forgive it for something. There’s no version of this review where I warn you about chapters thirty to forty.
Where it could still go wrong
The obvious one: a steadiness this even can tip into stagnation. The trajectory is Steady, and if the next arc doesn’t move at all, the polite way to describe it stops being “consistent” and starts being “coasting”. I’d like to see one axis make a real jump at the next checkpoint.
